Janelle Corpuz Hethcoat is an expert in Sound and Healing Arts, serving as a teacher, facilitator, author, and founder of KIN Unified Healing and Kailukuan School of Indigenous Science. Best known for her transformative personal journey, Janelle healed herself from infertility through the power of sound and ancestral healing, inspiring her to create multiple evidence based curricula including Kin Sound Therapy. She has researched and written multiple sound curricula accredited by the American Holistic Nurses Association through the ANCC and the AHNCC. Additionally, she has founded KIN Academy, specializing in sound therapy and mindfulness for children aged 4-11, with a primary focus on demonstrating the benefits of sound therapy for kids with neurodevelopmental disorders. Her mission is to empower individuals and healthcare professionals alike with the tools and knowledge to tap into their own healing potential, establishing her as a pioneering visionary in sound medicine within holistic health.
Jeff Rivo is an instrumentalist and percussion teacher with a rich background in early education, particularly as a instructional aide for the special needs population. A lifelong musician, he considers himself a perpetual student of sound and its mysticism. His practices in Capoeira and Silat provide him with a unique and holistic perspective on the interplay between sound and movement. Jeff believes that music enhances our ability to synchronize movements rhythmically and aids in mental engagement and focus. His unorthodox teaching style is rooted in the intelligence of the heart. Additionally, he is a certifying instructor of Sound Therapy and a kids program leader at KIN Unified Healing Institute.
