About the Instructors:
Nikki Hinson O’Connor is the Camp Director of Mindful Music Makers Camps. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Texas Wesleyan University and has over 20 years of performance experience. A former high school teacher and certified Sound Therapist through KIN Unified Healing, Nikki brings together expressive arts, education, and mindfulness to guide meaningful and creative camp experiences.
Jessica Poole (Esi) is a West African music educator with over 20 years of drumming experience and an instructor of the Kora. She is also an elementary school teacher, bringing a thoughtful, age-appropriate approach to cultural music education that supports rhythm, creativity, and connection.
