SPRING BREAK KIDS CAMP: THE VILLAGE RHYTHM PROJECT
This Spring Break, KIN Academy launches a new series of Cultural Enrichment Camps designed to nurture mindfulness, creativity, cultural awareness, and rhythm-based learning for children.
We begin with something powerful.
THE VILLAGE RHYTHM PROJECT
A 3-day immersive cultural experience rooted in
West African rhythm, storytelling, movement, and art.
This is more than a music camp.
It is an invitation into the village.
Children will explore:
• Traditional West African drumming
• Call-and-response songs
• Cultural dance and movement
• Oral storytelling traditions
• Creative arts and crafts
• Mindfulness practices through rhythm and breath
Through guided rhythm circles and embodied movement, campers learn listening, coordination, cooperation, and presence. Through storytelling and cultural arts, they build imagination, empathy, and historical awareness.
This experience blends:
Cultural education
Mindfulness practices
Creative expression
Community building
In the village, rhythm is how we learn.
Rhythm is how we regulate.
Rhythm is how we belong.
This camp is designed for children ages 4–11 and offers a grounded, playful, and culturally respectful introduction to West African arts within a mindful learning environment.
