Why a Theta Binaural Pair
When two tones of slightly different frequencies are played simultaneously, the brain perceives a third "phantom" beat equal to the difference between them — a phenomenon called binaural beating. When that difference falls between 4 and 8 Hz, the brain tends to entrain to theta rhythm, the state associated with hypnagogic imagery, deep meditation, REM-like consciousness, and access to subconscious material.
